Darknight Atmospheric post metal battering truly surprised my eardrums. The Great Burst of Light is extremely good in all aspects of the post metal genre, this band are going places. Favorite track: Chaos and Nebulous.

So, it's half an hour to midnight after a Saturday of work and I'm listening to this properly and it's relaxing. Very. Until they decide to hit you over the head with a mother of a riff only to whisper sweet whispers to your ear next moment again. And then the distorted sax comes...

Slug. Qualia’s opening resonated like a Portishead song until battered by some hefty post metal. Quite the interplay of styles. No doubt will take many listens. According to their message sent out at the beginning of the year, they are now called Stillbeing.

TXMetalDude Expansive, immersive, thought-provoking and pummeling. Excellent soundtrack to exploring the vast, possibly hostile edges of our galaxy and the human psyche. Very well executed prog/death-metal. Favorite track: The Stillbeing.
